Job Overview

We are looking for Personal Assistants (Support Workers) to work at Arran House in East Kilbride. The role is sessional, with day shifts (8 am – 8 pm) and waking night shifts (8 pm – 8 am).

Pay and Benefits

£14.95 per hour (£13.45 base + £1.50 market supplement).

Responsibilities

• Support individuals in achieving their personal goals and outcomes.
• Assist with personal care, moving and handling, and positive behavioural support.
• Expand their social networks and connections.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure safety, wellbeing, and aspirations are met.

Client Profiles

Darren – A young man with Autism Spectrum Disorder and a learning disability. Darren requires daily support with personal care, Positive Behaviour Support, and assistance in achieving his individual goals. He lives in his own home and sometimes becomes anxious and upset and needs the team to help him. He enjoys walking, driving, visiting parks, and playing games.

• Be happy supporting him indoors or outdoors.

Jordan – A young man in his early 20s who enjoys technology and WWE. Jordan requires routines and boundaries to feel safe. He is working towards accessing his local community, researching topics he enjoys, and improving life skills to live independently. He communicates verbally his choices and the team uses prompts to structure his daily life.

No prior care experience is required. We recruit based on your values and transferable skills. Commitment, dedication, and a desire to support each individual are essential.
