Senior Care Assistant – Care Home

About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Care Assistant to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified care professional looking to take the next step in their career and play a key role in leading and supporting a care team. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will be an integral part of a multidisciplinary team, responsible for assessing residents’ needs, developing and implementing care plans and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, person centred care. You will lead by example, supporting and supervising care staff, promoting best practice and ensuring excellent outcomes for residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess residents’ needs and contribute to the development of personalised care plans
- Implement and evaluate care programmes to ensure high standards of care
- Administer medication in line with policies and procedures
- Work independently and deliver care without direct supervision
- Supervise, support and guide care staff within the team
- Coordinate and delegate tasks to ensure effective service delivery
- Promote best practice and maintain a safe, supportive environment
- Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with regulatory standards
What We’re Looking For
- SVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent)
- Current SSSC registration
- PDA in Medication and/or Supervision (or equivalent)
- Previous experience in a Senior Care role
- Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team

- Flexible, permanent contracts – 22, 33, or 44 hours per week
