Get in touch today THE OPPORTUNITY – WELLSITE DRILLING ENGINEER, P&A CAMPAIGN Responsible for drilling engineering and technical integrity aspects of the wells abandonment scope, ensuring safe and efficient execution. Duration: c 6 months Location: Primarily offshore based but with onshore requirement. PAYE Contract Rate: TBC Closing Date for Submissions: cob Wednesday 11th March AND NOW FOR THE TECHNICAL BIT In role, you will be accountable for: Providing drilling engineering input to well abandonment projects. Ensuring the project is planned in full compliance with corporate policies, standards, procedures and guidelines and relevant regulatory requirements and are executed safely and efficiently. Applying appropriate techniques and processes to drive performance through benchmarking and data analysis. Ensuring detailed risk assessments are prepared for planned well decommissioning and risks are managed and mitigated as appropriate. Interfacing effectively with other teams e.g. subsurface, projects, supply chain, finance to safely and successfully deliver the project. Contributing to the required time and cost estimates and performance tracking for each project phase. The capture and close-out of lessons learnt and analysis of NPT events, and for the preparation and submission of end of well reports. Supports the contractor management process by developing positive relationships with contractors and suppliers. Ensures contractor delivery against KPIs/scorecards. ABOUT YOU To be successful in this role you will have: A strong background in a well engineering/operations role A focus on delivery A strong attitude to HSE and associated behaviours. Sound commercial awareness: project financing and cost control principles. Demonstrating an innovative approach, to ensure cost-effective, safe and environmentally acceptable engineering solutions.
