Transport Officer, Behaviour Change – Fixed term until 31/05/2029

Location: Waverley Court, Edinburgh

Salary: £40,501 – £47,639 (pro rata for part time). Hours: 18 per week, 52 weeks. Duration: Fixed term until 31 May 2029. FTE: 0.5

An exciting opportunity in the Transport Strategy and Partnerships team to project manage the Dynamicity project – a three year EU Horizon initiative across 12 European cities. The role focuses on encouraging behaviour change toward cycling for everyday journeys using the Cycle Nation methodology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead project management activities for the Dynamicity project in Edinburgh.
  • Apply the Cycle Nation methodology to support members of the public in choosing cycling.
  • Coordinate partnership working with local stakeholders and partner organisations in other European cities.
  • Support the delivery of project outputs and progress reporting.
  • Promote sustainable transport and travel by encouraging sustainable means of travel for council work.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Strong organisational and project management skills.
  • Experience in motivating teams and fostering collaboration.
  • Knowledge or interest in sustainable transport and active travel, particularly cycling.
  • Ability to work effectively in a partnership environment.
  • Good communication skills and willingness to contribute to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
