Job Description
Our client, a leading marine services provider, is currently seeking experienced TIG/MMA Welders to join a busy fabrication shop in Renfrew. You will be working on the fabrication of large steel structures for the shipbuilding and ship repair industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform TIG and MMA welding to a high standard
- Fabricate and repair steel structures in the marine sector
- Work from detailed drawings and specifications
- Ensure welds meet private LR (Lloyd’s Register) codings or pass in-house weld tests if not already coded
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals
Job Requirements:
- Experience in TIG and MMA welding
- Ability to interpret and work from technical drawings
- If currently coded with LR: immediate start; if not: successful completion of an in-house weld test required
- Capability to ensure high-quality welds complying with industry standards
- Attention to detail and strong hand-eye coordination
- Understanding of workplace safety regulations
Job Details:
- Contract position starting by 3rd November 2025
- Standard working week – 39 hours, with overtime available up to 50 hours
- Contract duration until Christmas
- 25h paye plus 3.02 holiday pay (can be accrued or advanced) or 33.48/h Umb co
