Responsibilities

As a Teacher of Chemistry, you will be responsible for delivering high quality chemistry lessons at all levels up to and including Higher.

• Plan, prepare and teach chemistry classes across the full curriculum.
• Support pupils in the other sciences where required, including Biology at certificate level.
• Create engaging, innovative resources and adopt varied pedagogical approaches to maximise learning.
• Contribute to the development of the science provision and collaborate with colleagues.
• Maintain a safe and supportive classroom environment, upholding the school’s safeguarding policies.

Qualifications

• Qualified teacher with experience in chemistry education.
• Experience teaching chemistry to a range of age groups, including Higher and Advanced Higher.
• Strong knowledge of the curriculum and assessment standards.
• Ability to work flexibly across different science subjects when needed.
• Commitment to continuous professional development.
