Are you ready to take on an exciting 12 month contract and be part of a key project within the heart of Edinburgh. Adecco Engineering are currently seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Setting Out Engineer to join our client’s dynamic team. If you have a strong background in construction and a passion for precision, this opportunity is perfect for you!

Responsibilities:

Utilise your expertise to accurately measure and mark construction sites, ensuring precise alignment and correct placement of structures.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and construction teams to interpret blueprints and drawings, ensuring project specifications are met.
Conduct site surveys and provide detailed reports on site conditions, measurements, and potential challenges.
Use advanced surveying technology and equipment to collect data and create accurate maps and plans.
Monitor construction progress and provide ongoing support to the site team, addressing any issues that may arise.
Make recommendations for improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
Adhere to health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment for everyone involved.

Candidate Requirements:

Solid experience as a Setting Out Engineer in the construction industry.
Proficiency in using surveying tools and equipment, including total stations and GPS technology.
Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and industry standards.
Experience relating to Steel Work/Bridges, desirable
Excellent mathematical and analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail.
Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines.
Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with a diverse team.
