Summary – basic function of the role
We are seeking a Service Product Manager to join our EMEA team based in Aberdeen. This role is responsible for defining, developing, and managing Hydratight’s service portfolio across the EMEA region, with a primary focus on the Energy sector, including Oil & Gas. The Service Product Manager will identify new service opportunities, shape a strategic service roadmap, and ensure offerings are aligned with customer needs and market demand. Working collaboratively with cross functional teams, this role supports service innovation, partnerships, and potential M&A initiatives, while ensuring successful service launches and ongoing optimisation.
Job Duties and Responsibilities Service development and expansion
- Identify, evaluate, and prioritise opportunities for new service offerings using market research, customer insights, and industry trends
- Develop service concepts that deliver commercial value and competitive differentiation
- Build clear business cases outlining revenue potential, strategic alignment, and resource requirements
Market development and partnerships
- Research new markets and adjacent opportunities for Hydratight services
- Identify and assess potential partnerships or acquisition opportunities aligned to growth objectives
- Support early stage evaluation of value creation and integration considerations
Roadmap and execution
- Develop and maintain a service roadmap covering development and market entry
- Define measurable milestones, timelines, and performance indicators
- Collaborate with commercial and operations teams to support effective delivery
Customer and market insight
- Gather and analyse Voice of Customer input to inform service development
- Monitor competitor activity and market dynamics to identify emerging opportunities
Service optimisation
- Support continuous improvement of existing services to ensure ongoing relevance, performance, and profitability
Collaboration and enablement
- Work closely with commercial, operations, and product teams on go to market activities
- Contribute to training and enablement to support successful service launches
Travel
- This role may involve travel of up to 50% across the EMEA region to support customer engagement, service development, and partnership activity
Skills and Competencies
- Experience in service product management, business development, or commercial roles within Energy, Oil & Gas, or related industries
- Demonstrated experience contributing to the development and launch of new service offerings
- Strong analytical skills, including market assessment and business case development
- Experience supporting or evaluating partnerships, joint ventures, or acquisition opportunities
- Ability to collaborate effectively across functions and geographies
- Clear, structured communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- A strategic mindset with a focus on delivering measurable outcome
Education & Experience
- MBA or equivalent advanced qualification (preferred but not required)
- Fluent in English; additional European languages are highly valued.
