  • For Master’s level candidates, a minimum of four years of dedicated industrial experience is essential.

Essential Technical & Professional Skills

  • Advanced LC-MS Operation: Deep technical knowledge and hands on experience working with high resolution LC-MS instrumentation (e.g. Q-TOF-MS, TQ-MS) for protein and peptide analysis.
  • Structural Characterisation: A fundamental understanding of how accurate mass and MS/MS workflows can be leveraged to resolve complex structural characterisation challenges.
  • PTM & Glycan Profiling: Proven experience with post translational modification (PTM) analysis and N released glycan analysis workflows relevant to biotherapeutic regulatory filing requirements.
  • Method Innovation: A track record of evaluating and developing novel methodologies or technological advancements to expand and upscale analytical capabilities with hands on experience in method validation aligned with regulatory expectations.
  • Complex Data Interpretation: Rigorous experimental standard to interpret, analyse, and QC complex MS data at both the intact mass and peptide level.
  • Instrumentation Custody: Confidence in the routine maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of high resolution analytical instrumentation.
  • Software Proficiency: Proven expertise utilizing Agilent software (such as MassHunter and BioConfirm) and familiar with other online MS data processing tools for both macromolecule and small molecule analysis.
  • Data Translation: Ability to distil complex analytical data into accessible, clear formats for non specialist stakeholders, constructing professional presentations to deliver insights to project teams and customers.
  • Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Outstanding team skills, and proven ability to collaborate effectively across diverse scientific disciplines and functional departments (e.g., molecular biology, fermentation and downstream processing) to achieve critical project milestones and deadlines.
  • Dynamic Delivery: Proven ability to multitask seamlessly across parallel projects, coping with short timelines and managing competing tasks without compromising accuracy or data integrity.
  • Technical Writing: Expertise in scientific writing to generate comprehensive project reports, technical protocols, and SOPs within an industrial quality management framework.
