Job Summary
A transformative leader in responsible AI, engaging and enabling the Platform and Business. The role informs patterns of ethical AI development and deployment across the Group and guides some of the most prominent AI use cases.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Business and Platforms to bring AI risk mitigations to prominent use cases and build AI risk mitigation and monitoring solutions.
- Organise Responsible AI support for the Big Bet agenda and provide expertise to use cases that fall under the Big Bet themes.
- Shape repeatable risk & control patterns that the Group can leverage at scale.
- Support escalations of ethical edge cases to the Data & AI Ethics Committee.
- Demonstrate leadership on responsible AI and help shape the Group’s standard of responsible AI adoption.
- Support a programme of enablement in responsible AI through the AI Academy and the maturing of the hub-and-spoke model.
- Act as a transformative leader, promoting a culture of safe and ethical AI throughout the organisation and advising senior leaders.
Qualifications
- PhD in AI or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Significant industry experience in a responsible AI related role.
- Strong understanding of cloud technologies, including Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Vertex AI Responsible AI tooling.
- Proven experience developing AI solutions to the highest ethical standards, engaging directly with AI product teams.
- Demonstrable expertise in responsible AI, including regulatory and legislative landscape knowledge.
- Excellent relationship management and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior partners.
- Experience in financial services is preferable.
