Position Overview:
They are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join their team. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing costs and ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a variety of commercial and residential fit-out projects, contributing to continued success and growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cost Management: Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and bills of quantities for commercial and residential projects.
- Tendering: Assist in the preparation and evaluation of tenders, negotiating with contractors and suppliers to secure the best value.
- Contract Management: Administer contracts, ensuring compliance with all terms and conditions, and manage any variations or changes to the scope of work.
- Valuations and Payments: Conduct regular valuations of ongoing work, preparing and submitting accurate interim valuations and final accounts.
- Cost Reporting: Monitor and report on project costs, ensuring accurate and timely reporting to senior management and clients.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally within the fit-out or construction industry.
- Strong understanding of commercial and residential project requirements.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
