Job Description

Individual Needs Assistant – Full Time

Location: Brighton
Start Date: ASAP

Academics are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Individual Needs Assistant to join a welcoming two-form entry primary school in Brighton. This is a full-time position starting as soon as possible.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting pupils with additional needs across both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. You will work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to provide tailored support, helping to create an inclusive and engaging learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with additional needs
  • Assist in delivering differentiated learning activities
  • Support pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff and external professionals

Requirements

  • Proven experience working within KS1 and KS2 settings
  • Strong understanding of supporting children with individual needs
  • A patient, proactive, and adaptable approach
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
