Our client is looking for a Pre Press Operator to join their fast paced studio. This role runs Monday to Friday, 8am – 4pm.
We are looking for someone who knows their way around an Apple Mac and can join our busy Pre Press team to prepare clients’ artwork for print. You must be a hardworking, dynamic individual with a keen eye for detail and an interest in all things print. Our client uses the latest Adobe Creative Suite including Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop, so good experience in these applications is expected. A solid understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel would also be beneficial.
Job Requirements
- Carrying out digital file checking, preparation, impositions and output to various proofing and printing devices
- Print / Packaging manufacturing experience
- Plate making experience
- Experience working with pre press workflows
- Good knowledge of the print process is essential
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical information into actionable tasks
- Knowledge of colour separations, press layouts, print specifications
- Producing work on time to the highest standard, with good attention to detail
- Creative Design skills – desirable but not required
