Overview

A well-established mutual insurer is seeking an experienced Pensions & Annuities Manager to lead the strategic development and management of their growing annuity portfolio on a contract basis.

The Role

You’ll take ownership of a significant book of business, driving profitability through pricing optimisation, reinsurance strategy, and new business initiatives across both individual and bulk purchase annuities. This is a genuinely strategic position where you’ll shape product innovation, manage regulatory compliance, and collaborate closely with actuarial, underwriting, and finance teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of pensions and annuities strategy
• Manage reinsurance arrangements and ensure effective capital management
• Drive business growth whilst optimising the existing portfolio
• Maintain regulatory compliance and stakeholder reporting

What You’ll Need

• Proven experience managing pensions and annuity portfolios
• Strong commercial acumen with pricing and profitability focus
• Deep understanding of regulatory requirements and reinsurance
• Excellent stakeholder management and leadership skills
• Relevant professional qualifications (CII/actuarial) desirable
