A permanent opportunity has arisen within the Ophthalmology team at the National Treatment Centre – Highland based on the Inverness Campus for a motivated and enthusiastic Booking Officer to support the Ophthalmology Service.
The post holder will be responsible for managing patient appointments, ensuring clinics are utilised effectively and in line with waiting time targets. You should have proven experience in a booking or patient administration role, with the ability to work accurately under pressure, maintain attention to detail, and prioritise a demanding workload.
You will be expected to liaise directly with patients, handling enquiries in a professional and compassionate manner and ensuring a high standard of customer care.
You will work closely with Medical Secretaries, Ophthalmology Co ordinators, Consultants, and the wider clinical team, providing comprehensive administrative support and contributing to the efficient and effective running of the Ophthalmology Service. Experience of Trak Care or a similar patient management system is desirable.
