OHL LE1 Linesmen
Power & Infrastructure Resourcing are looking for an experienced LE1 Linesmen for upcoming works in Dundee & North Scotland.
Location: Dundee & North (Monday Friday)
Duration: Approx. 6 months starting March 2026 (likelihood of additional works to follow)
Hours: 10 hours per day, Monday Friday (competitive rates + tax-free subsistence)

Key Responsibilities

Assist with the construction, refurbishment, and maintenance of LV and HV overhead line networks

Install stays, conductors, insulators, and associated overhead line equipment

Carry out all duties in line with current DNO standards and procedures

Support the setup of safe working practices, including traffic management and site protection

Carry out basic groundwork including pole preparation, clearing vegetation, and site organisation

Follow DNO safety rules, method statements, and risk assessments at all times

Use tools, equipment, and PPE correctly, reporting any defects or issues

Assist in fault response activities when required

Communicate effectively with the team to ensure smooth site operations

Support site records and documentation where needed

Report hazards, incidents, and near misses in accordance with SHEQ requirements

Represent the company professionally on client sites and when interacting with the public
Skills & Experience Required
-
Minimum 3 years experience
-
DNO Authorisations up to and including 33kV receive safety documentation (PTW/LOA) and live working
-
Ability to climb poles and work safely at height
-
Good understanding of DNO safe working practices

Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team

Strong practical skills and willingness to learn

Reliable, safety-focused, and able to work outdoors in all conditions
