The Opportunity
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Night Veterinary Surgeon to join a well-established, independent small animal practice with three modern branches across the beautiful Dundee and Angus coastline.
This role is perfect for a vet who enjoys the variety and challenge of emergency work while still benefiting from a predictable work life balance. The practice provides its own 24 hour emergency service, ensuring continuity of care and a familiar team for both patients and clients.
Working alongside an experienced team of 17 Veterinary Surgeons with interests spanning medicine, orthopaedics and diagnostic imaging, the successful candidate will enjoy excellent clinical support, manageable workloads and the freedom to make decisions based solely on what’s best for the patient.
What They’re Looking For
- MRCVS registered (or eligible)
- Passionate about delivering exceptional patient care
- A confident team player with excellent communication skills
- Keen to continue developing professionally
Previous ECC or night experience is welcomed but not essential.
The Rota
The practice offers a well-designed 5-week rotating rota that provides an excellent balance between continuity and downtime.
- Weeks 1-3: Four weekday day shifts (8 hours between 08:00 and 21:00)
- Weeks 4-5: Seven night shifts across 14 days (20:30-08:30)
- Generous blocks of time off following night shifts
