Salary: £22.26 per hour + Statutory Hol Pay
The Protocol Group is delighted to partner with North East Scotland College (NESCOL) to recruit a Nautical Instructor for the Scottish Maritime Academy, Peterhead.

The Scottish Maritime Academy provides training for the Merchant Navy and Fishing sectors, supporting both new entrants and experienced seafarers seeking progression or refresher courses. We are an approved provider for the Maritime & Coastguard Agency, Merchant Navy Training Board, Association of Marine Electronic and Radio Colleges, Royal Yacht Association, and Seafish.

Role responsibilities
- Teaching practical seamanship skills
- Demonstrates the ability to work successfully with students from diverse backgrounds and with varying needs.
- Good IT skills are an advantage
- Ability to prepare teaching materials, and deliver practical & theory based nautical classes
- Maintain accurate attendance and results register online
- Seamanship theory
- Rope work
- Net mending
Qualifications required (minimum level)
- Class 1 Deck Officer Fishing
Or
- Officer if the Watch Unlimited
