Responsibilities
You are an experienced mechanical engineer who thinks in terms of the full test system, not isolated metalwork.
You are enthusiastic about working in a multidisciplinary engineering environment, collaborating with experts in software, electronics, RF interfacing and measurements, and system architecture.
You will ultimately be responsible for the mechanical design aspects of complex test systems and fixtures, working in close collaboration with system and electronic engineers to incorporate custom electronics and specialized connectivity into your solutions, as well as working with suppliers to select appropriate materials and manufacturing processes.
You will be joining our team in Edinburgh, with strong connections to the existing Loveland site and the newly formed Malaga site.

Qualifications
Essential:
- Bachelors or Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
- Demonstrated experience of 5+ years in a relevant field
- Highly proficient in use of CAD tools (preferably Siemens NX)
- Working knowledge of electronics PCB/A realization processes
- Experience of working with incomplete, ambiguous specifications and tenaciously working through these
- Ability to obtain UK SC (Security Check) clearance
Desirable:
- Ability to efficiently switch between activities and adopt roles as required
- Knowledge of project management and business processes
- Practical experience with 3D printers
- Experience in electronic test and measurement

- A proven ability for practical (i.e. hands on) problem-solving
- A methodical and thorough approach to revision control and documentation
Requirements
Due to the sensitive nature of our work, UK security clearance at SC level will be required. Applicants must have lived in the UK for at least 5 years. If you are not a British citizen, then you must have Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) or Settled Status.
