Job Description

Licensing Officer – Fixed term until 31/05/2027

Location: City Chambers

Salary: £34,452 – £40,501, Hours: 36 per week, 52 weeks.

Responsibilities

  • Provide front line licensing advice and guidance to customers on Taxi, Civic, Liquor/Gambling, Houses of Multiple Occupation and Parades/Processions licensing.
  • Ensure all customers have access to accurate, relevant and current licensing information that affects their business interests and safety.
  • Maintain effective liaison with all consultees.
  • Assist in delivering high quality, customer focused outcomes by facilitating timely and efficient administrative and business services.
  • Operate in accordance with all relevant legislation and follow licensing policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Ability to process licensing applications accurately and efficiently.
  • Commitment to comply with all statutory and policy requirements.
  • Successful completion of Basic Disclosure and, where applicable, Overseas Criminal Record Checks.
