The Opportunity
As Learning & Development Manager, you ll take the lead in designing and delivering a progressive learning strategy that supports both organisational goals and individual growth. This role offers the autonomy to shape the L&D function, bring training in-house over time, and enhance the current offering through creativity, collaboration, and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement a charity-wide learning and development strategy aligned to organisational priorities.
• Review and evolve existing learning initiatives, introducing new approaches and tools to support continuous development.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with managers and key stakeholders to understand learning needs and priorities.
• Oversee external training providers while gradually developing in-house learning capability.
• Design and deliver engaging workshops, programmes, and resources to support leadership and professional development.
• Measure and evaluate the impact of learning interventions to ensure ongoing improvement and effectiveness.
About You:
You ll be a confident and collaborative L&D professional who enjoys both the strategic and hands-on elements of learning. You ll bring ideas, energy, and a genuine passion for helping others reach their potential.
You ll have:
• Proven experience in learning and development, ideally within a values-driven or not-for-profit environment.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence and engage at all levels.
• Experience designing and delivering training programmes, and ideally developing digital or blended learning solutions.
• A creative, proactive approach and the confidence to shape and embed new initiatives.
