HR Business Partner – HYBRID
Location: West Edinburgh
Salary: £36,925
Hours: Monday to Friday, 37 hour working week – Hybrid working pattern
Contract: Permanent
Start: ASAP

We are supporting our client in hiring an experienced HR Business Partner to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident HR professional who thrives in a fast paced environment and enjoys a balance of strategic partnership and hands on case management.

About the Role

As HR Business Partner, you’ll work closely with managers and senior leaders to shape and deliver people strategies that support organisational goals. You will advise on a broad range of HR matters, lead on complex employee relations cases, and support continuous improvement across people processes.

The ideal candidate will be proactive, organised, and able to build strong relationships while managing a varied and demanding workload.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with leaders to understand workforce priorities and deliver aligned people initiatives.
  • Lead on a wide range of employee relations matters including attendance, conduct, performance, capability, and grievances.
  • Coach and support managers to strengthen people management capability.
  • Support the development and delivery of talent, performance, and succession planning initiatives.
  • Provide guidance on organisational change, restructuring, and best practice.
  • Use HR data to identify trends, drive action, and support decision making.
  • Review and develop policies, processes, and HR documentation.
  • Contribute to HR improvement projects and help drive positive cultural development.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years’ experience in a similar HR role.
  • CIPD Level 5 or equivalent qualification.
  • Strong background in complex, high volume employee relations casework, with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously and work effectively under pressure.
  • Confident in promoting best practice, delivering change, and improving HR processes.
  • Up to date knowledge of employment law.
  • Highly organised, deadline driven, and self motivated.
  • Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Able to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team.
  • A commitment to values based working such as kindness, inclusivity, honesty, aspiration, and creativity.
  • Strong customer service skills with a meticulous approach to detail.
