Job Description

Work with the business leadership team and the Senior HRBP to deliver the People Plan, providing coaching and support to leaders. Offer proactive, value-adding HR guidance on medium-term and operational people issues across the function/route.

Description

  • Work with the business to deliver the People Plan, including talent, succession, and change initiatives.
  • Build strong relationships with senior leaders and provide coaching, advice, and challenge where needed.
  • Provide hands-on HR support across areas such as organisational change, senior hires, pay, and early careers.
  • Deliver cost-effective people solutions that meet business needs and gain stakeholder buy-in.
  • Promote strong people management across the business and support the HR operating model.
  • Partner with wider HR teams and Centres of Expertise to deliver the best outcomes.
  • Work with Union representatives to support business priorities.
  • Collaborate with HRBPs in other areas to address cross-business issues

Profile

Essential

  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of business needs.
  • Proven ability to build effective relationships with senior leaders.
  • Customer-focused, with clear evidence of delivering results.
  • Experience implementing HR best practice to drive performance.
  • Skilled in coaching and influencing senior managers.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Ability to identify, develop and retain talent.
  • Solid HR technical knowledge (CIPD or equivalent experience).
  • Successful track record in complex environments.
  • Experience in organisational change (TUPE, redesign, redundancy).
  • Graduate calibre.

Desired

  • MCIPD or postgraduate HR qualification.
  • Experience managing complex projects.
  • Experience working in a unionised environment

Job Offer

  • 12 month contract due to secondments within team
  • Office is Glasgow City Centre based with local travel
  • 3 days office/ travelling and other 2 days from home
