Job Description
Our client, a leading global engineering infrastructure solutions provider, is looking for a Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Manager to join their team on a permanent basis, working on highway projects in North Lanarkshire. In this role, you will collaborate closely with project teams, stakeholders, and the supply chain to identify and manage environmental aspects, ensure compliance with legal and ISO standards, and provide HSE support on-site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead best practices in health, safety, and sustainability for the NLC Term Maintenance Contract.
- Advise and support senior management on HSE responsibilities.
- Ensure compliance with statutory duties and conduct inspections and audits.
- Lead accident and incident investigations, analysing data to prevent recurrence.
- Collect and review HSE statistics, identifying trends for improvement.
- Develop HSE plans, procedures, and conduct lessons learnt sessions.
- Manage and review HSE documentation, ensuring compliance with partner KPIs.
- Oversee environmental and sustainability objectives, maintaining strong client relationships.
- Support audits, uphold ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards, and report on HSE performance.
- Create communication tools for safety initiatives and engage in community outreach programmes.
Key Qualifications:
- Previous experience providing environmental support across multiple project sites.
- Prior experience in a health, safety, and environmental role.
- NEBOSH certification (General/Construction) and environmental/auditing competencies (desirable).
- IEMA or IOSH accreditation and CSCS certification.
- Knowledge of company HSE systems, including ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
- Full UK driving licence.
