Job Description
The role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for 2 Band 3 Healthcare Support Workers to join the busy and friendly Radiology team within the Clyde Sector. The successful candidates will support the delivery of a high quality imaging service, working alongside radiographers and the wider multidisciplinary team to provide excellent patient care and a positive patient experience.
Duration, Location, and Working Pattern
- The posts will be based at Royal Alexandra Hospital, Paisley, with rotation to other Clyde hospital sites as required to support service delivery.
- This is a permanent 36 hour post, working a combination of 12 hour day and night shifts, 7.5 hour shifts (9:00am-5:00pm), and includes weekend and public holiday working.
Key responsibilities
You will support the delivery of a high quality imaging service by providing patient care, assisting with imaging procedures, and supporting patient flow throughout the Radiology Department while maintaining a safe, clean, and organised environment; working collaboratively with radiographers and the multidisciplinary team, and ensuring patients receive a positive experience throughout their visit while contributing to the efficient delivery of the service.
Knowledge, training, qualifications and/or experience required
- Previous NHS experience.
- Caring and compassionate approach to patient care.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
- Enthusiastic, reliable, and motivated approach to work.
- Commitment to delivering high standards of patient care.
