Head Chef – Boutique Hotel & Premium Dining Venue
£45,000 + 20% Bonus + £7,800 Tronc (OTE c. £62,000) 48 hours per week (additional hours paid beyond 52 hrs)

The Opportunity
As Head Chef, you will:
- Lead, motivate, and develop a passionate and skilled kitchen brigade, fostering a positive and high performance culture.
- Drive the culinary direction, contributing creative ideas and crafting menus that reflect contemporary trends, with a focus on brunch, all day dining, and afternoon tea.
- Oversee all financial and operational aspects, ensuring exceptional GP, tight labour control, and consistency of quality.
- Champion excellence in food safety, training, standards, and team development.
- Collaborate with senior management to continually enhance the food offering and guest experience.
What We’re Looking For
Experience & Leadership
- A proven track record in a Head Chef or Senior Chef role within a boutique hotel, premium restaurant, or high end hospitality setting.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to inspire and retain a talented kitchen team.
- Broad experience across all sections and service styles.
Commercial & Operational Strength
- Strong financial understanding, including cost control, labour management, stock and ordering procedures.
- Competent in kitchen management systems such as rota planning, reporting, budgeting, and online procurement.
- Skilled at delivering high standards in a fast paced, high volume environment.
Personal Qualities
- Calm, organised, and focused under pressure.

What’s On Offer
- Base salary: £45,000
- 20% performance bonus (GP, labour, guest satisfaction metrics)
- Guaranteed tronc: £7,800
- Total earning potential: approx. £62,000
- 48 hour contract with paid overtime on hours worked beyond 52 per week
