About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and driven Head Chef to lead our client’s kitchen operation in Inverness. This is an exciting opportunity to take full ownership of the culinary offering within a busy hotel environment, delivering exceptional food experiences for guests across restaurant service, events, and functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, and motivate the kitchen brigade to deliver consistently high standards
  • Develop and implement seasonal menus using fresh, locally sourced ingredients
  • Maintain strong control of food costs, GP margins, and stock management
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations
  • Oversee recruitment, training, and development of kitchen team members
  • Work collaboratively with the General Manager to drive food revenue and guest satisfaction
  • Manage kitchen operations for weddings, corporate events, and special occasions

About You

  • Proven experience as a Head Chef or strong Senior Sous Chef ready to step up
  • Background in hotel, restaurant, or high-volume hospitality settings
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Excellent organisational and financial management ability
  • Passion for quality, presentation, and consistency
  • Calm and effective under pressure
