This is an excellent opportunity to join my client, a developing, green-minded Multidisciplinary Consultancy, currently in the process of establishing themselves as a leading authority in the Water Sector. They are currently seeking a skilled, willing Graduate CAD Technician, who is looking to take on a number of exciting projects. You will be based near the beautiful, historic Scottish Capital City of Edinburgh.

Responsibilities for the role of Graduate CAD Technician include:

  • Produce 2D drawings and 3D models, to specific requirements laid out by senior colleagues
  • Assist with the preparation of technical documents, including plans, sections, details, and schematics
  • Support drawing packages for planning, technical approval, and construction
  • Revise and update drawings to align with design changes
  • Maintain drawing registers and file structures
  • Coordinate drawing information with engineers across multiple teams
  • Support the wider team with document and model coordination tasks

Required skills and experience for the role of Graduate CAD Technician include:

  • Degree, HND, or HNC in Civil Engineering, CAD, or a related discipline
  • Keen interest in technical drawing and digital design for engineering projects
  • Excellent attention to detail, and able to accurately follow technical instructions
  • Organised and methodical, with good time management skills
  • Strong communication skills, with a willingness to proactively seek feedback and learn new skills
  • Positive, team-focused approach to work

Desirable skills and experience for the role of Graduate CAD Technician include:

  • Experience with AutoCAD
  • Some proficiency in Civils 3D, Revit, or other BIM tools
  • An understanding of GIS
  • Hold a full, valid UK Driving Licence
