Overview

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the Sector’s Emergency and Acute Medicine provision and patient flow model, accountable for the strategic and operational delivery and development of the Service.
  • Ensure high quality, safe and efficient patient-centred services to meet local and national targets.
  • Work with the Director to develop the Sector’s patient flow model, maximise resources, and link with other Sector General Managers to deliver patient care efficiently.
  • Provide strong leadership to inspire confidence and deliver in a politically sensitive and demanding environment.
  • Foster a strong, patient-focused culture that encourages initiative, accountability and open communication within the team.

Qualifications

  • Significant experience at a senior level in operational management in healthcare or an equivalent, complex environment.
  • Strong influencing and leadership qualities with the ability to lead and develop a team and engage across professional boundaries.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and strategically to improve service delivery and patient outcomes.
