Venari Finance is delighted to be exclusively supporting our key private equity backed client in Glasgow with the recruitment of a 12-14 month FTC Financial Controller.
This represents an exciting time to join the business, following several high-profile acquisitions. This role would suit a people-focused professional who is keen to work closely with senior stakeholders across the business.
The role will lead an experienced team of 4.
Role Overview:
- Overall management and delivery of the month end financial reporting of the legal entities including financial analysis and commentary.
- Ensure balance sheet reconciliations are completed accurately and within reporting deadlines with any queries resolved in a timely manner.
- Cash management including tracking and forecasting.
- Ownership of budgeting and forecasting for the legal entities, working closely with operational and commercial teams.
- Ensure compliance on all tax related matters, including VAT, transfer pricing etc.
- Support with grant claim processes and management of third-party assurance reviews.
- Lead year-end statutory audit process, liaising with auditors.
- Accounting reviews of new or modified areas, ensuring compliance with IFRS.
- Develop and document business processes to drive continuous improvement and maintain and strengthen internal controls.
- Support accounting system upgrades and identify target areas for system optimisation.
- Effective collaboration with others within the reporting function along with the commercial and transactional finance teams.
- Day to day management and development of the team.
- Provision of ad-hoc support to the Director of Financial Reporting with involvement in projects as required.
Candidate Background:

Package:
- £70,000-£75,000
- 2 days onsite in Glasgow city centre per week
