This is a hands-on role in a growing ambitious, manufacturing business, and a wonderful opportunity for an entrepreneurial, commercially minded finance leader.
Really, you need to be qualified by experience, maybe an accidental accountant with holistic approach who manage all things finance whilst being involved in the wider business.
Office / Site-based just outside Glasgow. Negotiable salary and benefits package.

This is a great role for a commercial ninja who can take total ownership of the accounts function. You will be on-site at the manufacturing facility near Glasgow, we are looking for someone who can immerse themselves in the business and wants to learn and understand everything about this SME and its people. An intuitive knowledge of processes, not just accounting, is what is required! Be an essential part of running this business, far more than just an accountant.

You must possess technical abilities, creative problem-solving skills, be commercially savvy and have excellent financial agility to be successful in this role! We need a commercial and entrepreneurial leader who can take control of all things finance but with your own ideas and vision. Embrace, own and immerse yourself in the business at all levels.
Ideally you will either be qualified, part-qualified or QBE, and have at least 5 years’ experience, BUT it s the skills, knowledge, personality and SME fit we are looking for!

The Role:

Take responsibility for all things finance including:

• Collaborating with the MD and senior management team further improve and grow this brilliant manufacturing SME to their full potential
• Statutory and management accounts
• Cash flow management
• Forecasting and business planning
• Payroll and banking
• Stock Control, materials planning, commercial input
• Price and Margin Analysis
• Terms and Conditions, Contract Reviews
• Strategy, planning and advising the board
