Industrial Electrician (Wastewater Treatment)

Are you a skilled Industrial Electrician ready to power Scotland’s vital water infrastructure? We’re seeking a dedicated Industrial Electrician with proven experience in wastewater treatment to join our team, ensuring the reliable operation of Scottish Water facilities.
This critical role involves electrical maintenance, fault finding, and installation on a diverse range of plant and equipment, including pumps, motors, and control systems (PLC, SCADA). Your expertise will be vital in maintaining environmental compliance and public health across Scotland.
Key Responsibilities:
- PPM & Reactive Maintenance: Execute planned and emergency electrical work on wastewater treatment plants.
- Fault Finding: Diagnose and rectify complex electrical issues efficiently.
- Installations: Install new electrical systems and equipment to 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations.
- Control Systems: Troubleshoot and maintain PLC/SCADA and associated instrumentation.
- Safety: Strict adherence to all health & safety protocols.
What We’re Looking For:
- Essential: SVQ Level 3 Electrical, 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations.
- Proven Experience: Significant Industrial Electrician experience, ideally within the water utility sector (wastewater treatment highly preferred).
- Technical Skills: Strong fault-finding, electrical schematic interpretation, and experience with motor control (VSDs).
- Self-Motivated: Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Full UK Driving Licence is essential.
- Compex certification desirable.
