Overview

This is an excellent opportunity to join the Nutrition and Dietetics Service in Fife. This Band 5 post is rotational and offers a range of opportunities to develop your knowledge, skills and experience across different clinical teams and areas of dietetics. Rotational posts are available within our Hospital Services Team, Community Services Team, Diabetes & Weight Management Team, and Child & Young Person Team.

We are looking for a Band 5 Dietitian with strong clinical, organisational, communication and team working skills to join the NHS Fife Nutrition and Dietetic Service.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely and collaboratively with colleagues within the Nutrition and Dietetic Service, consultants, GPs, nursing staff, AHPs and wider MDT teams.
  • Provide dietetic care as part of the clinical team, rotating every 9-12 months according to service demands and your skills, experience and knowledge.
  • Deliver dietetic student training for A, B & C placements and participate in the delivery and organisation of those placements.
  • Engage in fortnightly education and training sessions delivered on Teams and support your continuing professional development.

Service Highlights

The Nutrition & Dietetics Service is a Fife wide service led by clinical teams. Fife operates a non prescribing ordering model (NPO) for oral nutritional supplements and uses dietetic led models of care.

Staff are encouraged to take part in a network that provides opportunities for networking, peer support, knowledge and skill development and learning.

Qualifications

  • Band 5 Dietitian registration.
  • Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Strong clinical, organisational, communication and team working skills.
  • Induction and training provided to facilitate transition into your new role.
