GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES & SCOPE OF THE ROLE:

The CSA Project Engineer will play a pivotal role in the successful execution of CSA (Civil Structural Architectural) projects, encompassing a dynamic mix of on-site activities, as well as participation in regional offices. The position also necessitates the adept handling of online project and client meetings to fulfil job requirements effectively.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensuring quality of the construction works is to the highest quality and in compliance with the Inspection & Test Plan, Design and relevant Specifications.
  • Coordinate with the design teams from feasibility stage, through construction and to ensure accurate as-builts are captured.
  • Inspection, Audit, Supervision and Approval of Civil & Structural works.
  • Maintaining detailed records of daily activities on site and produce detailed weekly reports of the works.
  • Manage the temporary works for assigned projects, act as the Temporary works coordinator.
  • Interface with client site project manager as required.
  • Attend site weekly progress meetings as required by the Project Manager.
  • Monitor progress on site against the programme and work with the project teams to ensure milestones are reached.
  • Undertake regular forecasting of CSA Prelims & CSA Contractors budgets to ensure costs stay within budgets.
  • Mentoring CSA graduates, apprentices and team members.
  • Promote any potential value engineering that could be implemented to reduce project cost or accelerate construction programme.
  • Carry out quality audits.
  • Undertake surveying using GPS and Total station on site for setting out and recording as built.
  • Ensure compliance with quality controls and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with Health and Safety Regulations and Procedures.

REQUIRMENTS:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 Years working as a Civil Engineer or an Equivalent role.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a dynamic construction environment.
  • Proactive and hardworking approach to project responsibilities.
  • Exceptional organisational and multitasking skills.
  • Strong communication skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficient in the use of Autodesk AutoCAD and Microsoft Office suite.
