Job Description

Overview

Support would mainly be on Tuesdays and Fridays, with occasional evening and weekend work available. You will assist a fun and outgoing 36 year old woman with Down syndrome in her active and fulfilling lifestyle.

She occasionally uses a wheelchair but participates in activities such as dancing, music, bowling, trampolining and football matches.

Responsibilities

• Provide positive, reliable and caring support during scheduled workdays.
• Encourage independence and engage in activities together.
• Offer flexibility to meet evolving needs.
• Assist with community outings, potentially using a personal vehicle if available.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting people with learning disabilities is beneficial.
• Training will be provided.
• Driver with access to own vehicle preferred but not mandatory.
• Understanding of PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups) requirements; completion required for successful applicants.
