Position
Clinical Team Leader Out of Hours District Nursing – Permanent staff at Lister Centre, University Hospital Crosshouse.
Hours
36 hours per week. From 1 April 2026, the working week for NHS Agenda for Change staff in Scotland will be reduced from 37 to 36 hours (pro rata for part time staff) without loss of earnings.
UK Driving Licence
A UK driving licence is essential for this role.
What you will do
- You will be responsible for the operational management of the community nursing team including the professional and clinical supervision and deployment of staff within the Out of Hours Service covering pan Ayrshire and the delivery of high quality care to patients in a variety of community settings.
- You must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, work independently as a lone worker, and demonstrate the ability to work on your own initiative.
- You should be able to provide evidence of personal development and willingness to undertake appropriate training.
Knowledge, training and/or experience required for this post
- Registered Nurse with current NMC registration
- Post graduate qualification in District Nursing or equivalent
- Post registration experience of working with patients who have complex care requirements
- Robust staff management
- Experience of working within a community setting
- Evidence of continuous professional development relevant to people with complex care requirements
- Demonstrates strong work ethic and leadership
- Management of wide range of clinical interventions including tracheostomy, supra pubic catheter
- Able to develop, plan, implement and monitor robust care plans
