Position

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clerical Officer within the Health Records Department based at University Hospital Ayr.

Hours

3x 37 hour posts: Monday – Friday 8:45am – 5pm (one day per week you will finish at 4:30pm, this will be allocated on appointment to post)

1x 22.2 hour post: Wednesday – Thursday 8:45am-5pm 45 min break

Friday 8:45am – 4:42pm 45 min break

These posts are offered on a fixed term basis until 31st December 2026.

What you will do

Duties include the maintenance and filing of patient confidential records, recording patient related data, admissions and booking out-patient appointments using the electronic Patient Management System. Providing reception services, answering telephones and relaying messages. You should be able to work flexibly in order to meet service demands.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job

Candidates should possess SVQ Level 2 in administration or equivalent qualification or experience.

When considering if a post meets the salary threshold for sponsorship, please note the salary advertised is based on a full-time contract and must be pro-rated for part-time positions. Sponsorship is not guaranteed and is assessed on a case-by-case basis following interview and at the commencement of pre-employment checks.
