Location: Glasgow
Salary: Upto £65,000 DOE + Benefits

The Opportunity

Are you an experienced Bid Manager looking to play a key role in delivering major infrastructure and renewable energy projects?

We’re looking for an organised and commercially aware Bid Manager to lead the end-to-end tender process across a diverse portfolio of electrical infrastructure, renewable energy and EPC projects. Working alongside engineering, commercial and operational teams, you’ll produce high-quality, winning submissions that help secure exciting projects across the UK.

The Role

As Bid Manager, you’ll be responsible for coordinating the full bid lifecycle, ensuring every submission is compliant, competitive and delivered on time.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing bids from initial enquiry through to final submission
  • Reviewing tender documentation and identifying key client requirements
  • Coordinating technical, commercial, engineering and operational input
  • Developing bid programmes and ensuring deadlines are met
  • Writing and compiling high-quality tender responses, PQQs, ITTs and RFQs
  • Producing compelling executive summaries and value propositions
  • Supporting commercial teams with pricing submissions and tender clarifications
  • Assisting with bid strategy and bid/no-bid decisions
  • Acting as the central point of contact throughout the tender process
  • Maintaining bid documentation, templates and case study libraries
  • Identifying opportunities to improve bid processes and increase win rates

About You

We’re looking for someone who has:

  • Previous experience as a Bid Manager, Proposal Manager or Tender Coordinator
  • Experience within engineering, utilities, infrastructure, construction, EPC or renewable energy
  • Strong knowledge of procurement and tendering processes
  • Excellent written communication and document management skills
  • The ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously
  • Strong organisational and stakeholder management skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint & Teams)

Desirable

  • Experience within renewable energy, electrical infrastructure, BESS or utility projects
  • APMP qualification (or similar)
  • Knowledge of NEC contracts
  • Experience using tender portals and CRM systems
  • Public sector tendering experience
