Job Description

Job Title: Assistant Quantity Surveyor Location: Near Glasgow, Scotland Salary: £30,000 – £40,000 Dependent on Experience Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent About the Role:

We are looking for an enthusiastic Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our client’s growing team based near Glasgow. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to develop their career in a supportive and fast-paced environment, working on a varied range of exciting construction projects.

You can expect to be involved in an interesting mix of new build and refurbishment projects across Scotland and will have support from their commercial team to help you develop your skills and expertise, ultimately progressing your career as a result.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of cost estimates and budgets for construction projects.
  • Support the procurement process, including obtaining and analyzing subcontractor and supplier quotes.
  • Help manage project costs, ensuring budgets are adhered to and value for money is achieved.
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of interim valuations and final accounts.
  • Participate in site visits and progress meetings.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of project finances.
  • Assist in resolving any financial disputes or issues that may arise during the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with the project team to ensure successful project delivery.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
  • Relevant experience in a Quantity Surveying role, ideally within the construction industry.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills
  • A proactive and problem-solving attitude.
