About the role
We are seeking a confident, hands on Assistant Manager to support the day to day operation of The Park. This highly operational role is suited to someone who enjoys being visible on the floor, leading from the front, and delivering a warm, high quality guest experience.
Working a mixture of mornings, evenings and weekends, the Assistant Manager plays a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the hotel during each shift. As second in command, you will support the Hotel Manager and take full responsibility for the hotel in their absence, with a particular focus on overseeing and supporting the Front of House operation.
This role is ideal for someone who is approachable, organised and confident in leading a team, with a genuine passion for hospitality and guest interaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the Hotel Manager in the overall operation of the hotel
- Taking responsibility for the hotel when the Hotel Manager is absent
- Overseeing the day to day running of the hotel during shifts
- Leading and supporting Front of House Supervisors and team members
- Making decisions on staffing levels and service delivery during shifts
- Opening and closing the hotel, including cash handling and end of day procedures
- Supporting rota management and adjusting staffing in line with business levels
- Handling guest queries, complaints and escalations
- Supporting reception duties including check in/check out, reservations and email enquiries
- Working across departments where required, including bar and public areas
- Conducting room checks and liaising with housekeeping (experience preferred)
- Ensuring high standards are consistently maintained across all areas of the hotel
This role is highly operational and requires a proactive, hands on approach, with the ability to lead by example and work across all areas of the hotel.
