The role

An exciting opportunity has become available to join the Oral Health Directorate Administrative Team. This varied role supports the delivery of effective clinical care by providing a comprehensive clerical service, with a particular focus on supporting the Public Dental Service Waiting List Team. You will play an important role in maintaining accurate patient information, supporting waiting list management and providing flexible administrative support across the wider service to ensure continuity of service delivery.

Band 2 roles are not eligible for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker or Health and Care Worker visa routes.

Duration, Location and Working Pattern

  • This is a full time permanent post working 36 hours per week
  • These hours will be worked Monday to Friday
  • You will be based at Glasgow Dental Hospital, G2 3JZ

Key responsibilities

Working as part of the administrative team, you will provide a comprehensive clerical service to support the delivery of effective clinical care within the Oral Health Directorate. Your responsibilities will include the accurate maintenance of patient information, assisting with the management of Public Dental Service waiting lists in line with service requirements, and providing flexible administrative support across the wider administrative service as required. You will contribute to ensuring an efficient, responsive and high quality administrative service that supports patient care.

Knowledge, training, qualifications and/or experience required to do the job

  • Experience of working in an administrative or clerical role.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Confidence in using computerised systems and maintaining accurate electronic records.
  • Ability to manage confidential information appropriately.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required.
  • Flexible approach to supporting a range of administrative functions.
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record management.
