Working Hours: 35 hours per week (9am -5pm, Monday-Friday)

About the role:
The Accounts Assistant contributes to the smooth running of the finance department. You will be joining a small but experienced finance team where teamwork and collaboration are key. You will also work closely with colleagues from other departments and across operations; you will therefore be comfortable working with others and building good working relationships across the business.

- Proven successful experience within a finance role
- Strong administrative skills

- Excellent attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Flexible with the ability to multitask
- HNC/HND in Accounting or AAT Qualification

More details about the role(not an exhaustive list)
- Ensuring that all incoming invoices are accurately entered on the accounting system and allocated to the correct departments and match accompanying Purchase Order or other approved documentation.
- Following up on invoices awaiting approval from departmental managers.
- Reconciling purchase records with supplier statements.
- Correctly processing, coding, and allocating sales invoices and receipts.
- Following up all outstanding accounts inline with the company’s procedures.
- Processing petty cash re-imbursements and reconciling.
- Processing all bank payments and receipts daily and performing bank reconciliations daily.
- Raising payments to suppliers within agreed credit terms.
- Assist the Head of Finance and Management Accountant with the completion of Management Accounts Schedules and perform Balance Sheet reconciliations monthly.
NB: This job description is designed as guidance there will be requirements to take on additional or alternative tasks to support the business as required. Your key tasks and responsibilities will be agreed with your line manager as part of the Triage performance management cycle.
For the successful candidate, this role will require a satisfactory Basic disclosure check.
