Female Personal Assistants required (x2 positions)
Meet MM:
MM is a fun, loving girl who is full of character, with a cheeky sense of humour and a big personality. She enjoys spending time with people she knows and trusts and loves having a laugh with those around her. Once she gets to know you, she’s chatty, sociable and enjoys spending time with people who can share a laugh with her.
A really girly girl, MM loves having her hair and nails done, going out for lunch, shopping and treating herself. She also enjoys football, swimming, drama activities, karaoke, singing, dancing and spending time on her phone and iPad.
MM thrives on routine and likes things to be done a certain way, particularly around mealtimes and daily activities. Supporting her to enjoy her routines while exploring new experiences is an important part of this role.
About the role:
MM receives 2:1 support, meaning you will work alongside another Personal Assistant as part of a small, dedicated team.
The role involves supporting MM both at home and in the community, helping her to enjoy activities that she loves while ensuring her personal and physical support needs are met.
Support includes:
- Supporting mobility using a walker, wheelchair and splints
- Supporting meals and encouraging independence where possible
- Accompanying MM to social outings, activates, appointments and leisure opportunities
- Providing companionship and helping MM engage in things she enjoys
MM has epilepsy and takes medication to help manage this. Experience of supporting someone with epilepsy would be advantageous but it is not essential. Guidance and support will be provided.
Hours and rate of pay:
Rate of Pay: £14.45 per hour.
Support is provided on a 2:1 basis, with Personal Assistants working alongside each other.
Each Personal Assistant will work 6 hours per week during term time and up to 30 hours per week during school holidays.
