Our client, a well established precision engineering company, is looking to recruit an experienced CNC Turner to join their growing manufacturing team on a permanent day shift.

TheCNC Turner RoleAs a CNC Turner, you will be responsible for programming, setting and operating CNC lathes to manufacture precision-engineered components to exact customer specifications. Working from engineering drawings, you will produce high-quality parts to tight tolerances while maintaining excellent standards of workmanship and efficiency.
This is a varied role suited to someone who enjoys working with precision components in a modern machining environment.
CNC TurnerKey Responsibilities
- Programming, setting and operating CNC lathes with Fanuc controls.
- Manufacturing precision components using a brand-new CMZ CNC Lathe.
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
- Producing components to tight tolerances and high-quality standards.
- Selecting appropriate tooling and machining methods.
- Carrying out in-process inspection to ensure components meet specification.
- Machining a variety of engineering materials.
- Maintaining a safe, clean and organised work area.
- Working closely with colleagues to achieve production targets and delivery schedules.
Candidate Requirements
The successful candidate will have:
- Previous experience as a CNC Turner.
- Experience programming, setting and operating CNC lathes.
- Strong working knowledge of Fanuc controls.
- The ability to confidently read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Experience machining precision components to demanding tolerances.
- Excellent attention to detail and a quality-focused approach.
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
Desirable SkillsThe following experience would be advantageous but is not essential:
- Manufacturing components for the Oil & Gas industry.
- Offline programming.
- Experience with live tooling.
- Machining a range of materials including stainless steel, carbon steel, alloys and other specialist materials.
Working HoursMonday to Thursday: 8:00am 4:30pmFriday: 8:00am 1:00pm
