Job Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor to join an established and growing cost management consultancy with offices in Glasgow and Edinburgh. Due to continued expansion and a strong pipeline of work, the business is looking to strengthen its team with an ambitious Quantity Surveyor capable of independently managing projects across a diverse portfolio.
The consultancy delivers cost management services across a wide range of sectors including commercial, industrial, residential, public sector and community developments, with projects ranging from smaller schemes through to major developments exceeding 100 million.

Job Requirements
Minimum of 5 years’ experience within a Quantity Surveying / PQS consultancy environment
Experience independently managing projects from pre-contract through to final account
Strong knowledge of cost planning, procurement, tendering and contract administration
Excellent client-facing, communication and stakeholder management skills
MRICS qualified desirable, although candidates working towards APC are strongly encouraged to apply
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for site visits
Strong commercial awareness with excellent organisational and reporting skills

Salary & Benefits
Salary: 45,000 – 50,000+ (DOE & MRICS Status)
Hybrid working (4 days office / 1 day home working following onboarding)
Full RICS APC and membership sponsorship
Support from two in-house APC Assessors
Glasgow city centre parking permit (circa 1,000 value) or mileage allowance (approximately 50-55p per mile)

Key Responsibilities
Deliver full pre and post-contract quantity surveying services across a varied project portfolio
Prepare cost plans, Bills of Quantities, tender documentation and tender evaluations
Produce monthly valuations, cost reports and financial progress updates
Independently manage multiple projects from inception through to final account
Attend regular site visits, progress meetings and client meetings
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants and project teams
Work closely with senior management to ensure successful project delivery
Support junior team members and contribute to the continued growth of the business
