Night Porter – Norton House Hotel & Spa

We are looking for a Night Porter to deliver an exceptional guest experience throughout the night at our prestigious Georgian country house hotel in Edinburgh.

About the Role

• Deliver an exceptional guest experience throughout the night, including working on the bar, cleaning, setting up conference rooms, and delivering room service food orders.
• Maintain a safe, healthy, and secure workplace and hotel environment at night, following all work protocols, running the night audit, and engaging with guests to ensure their experience is memorable.
• Build and maintain relationships within the team and ensure clear communication between shifts.
• Enjoy being part of our Hand Picked Team and have fun.

About you

• Have knowledge and experience working in a luxury four or five star hotel, ideally currently working on night shifts.
• Be passionate about going above and beyond for our guests and recognise and skilfully act on opportunities to make the guest experience memorable through offering or suggesting appropriate hotel products and facilities.
• Demonstrate a high level of emotional intelligence, enabling you to anticipate guests’ needs and provide a Hand Picked experience.
• Using enthusiasm and a willing approach, you will find solutions to any scenario.
• Act calmly and professionally, maintaining an outwardly positive attitude even when under pressure.

• A competitive salary package of £14 per hour plus a share of service charge.
