Duties of the HGV Trailer Technician:


  • – Conducting repairs and maintenance on HGV trailers, including tail lifts, curtain siders, and similar equipment


  • – Diagnosing faults accurately and efficiently ensuring minimal vehicle downtime


  • – Performing routine inspections and preventative maintenance


  • – Completing service documentation accurately and promptly


  • – Adhering to health and safety regulations and company policies


  • – Multi-tasking effectively within a fast-paced workshop environment


  • – Planning workload efficiently to meet deadlines and quality standards



Requirements:


  • – Proven experience as an HGV or Trailer Technician is essential


  • – Hands-on experience with trailers, including tail lifts and curtain siders


  • – HGV driving licence beneficial but not mandatory


  • – Level 2/3 (or equivalent) qualifications in Automotive or Vehicle Maintenance are advantageous but not essential


  • – Excellent time-keeping skills and a high regard for attention to detail


  • – Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure


  • – Strong organisational skills to prioritise tasks effectively
