We are looking for a Casual Kitchen Porter to join our kitchen team at the Glasgow Marriott Hotel. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a busy and supportive hospitality environment, where you’ll play a key role in keeping our kitchen running smoothly while developing valuable skills and experience within Marriott International.

What You’ll Do
As a Casual Kitchen Porter, your responsibilities will include:
- Operating and maintaining cleaning equipment and tools, including dishwashing and pot wash machinery
- Washing dishes, kitchen utensils, cookware, and food preparation equipment
- Cleaning and sanitising kitchen, storage, and back-of-house areas
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and food safety
- Receiving deliveries and storing stock correctly
- Assisting with stock rotation and organisation of storerooms
- Emptying rubbish and recycling in accordance with company procedures
- Supporting chefs and kitchen colleagues with daily operational tasks
- Following all company health, safety, and hygiene standards

Experience
- Previous experience as a Kitchen Porter, Kitchen Assistant, Steward, or in a similar hospitality environment is preferred but not essential
- Full training will be provided for the right candidate
Physical Requirements
This role requires the ability to:
- Stand and walk for extended periods
- Lift, carry, push, pull, and move items weighing up to 23kg (50lbs)
- Reach overhead and below the knees
- Bend, twist, stoop, and perform repetitive movements
- Work comfortably in a busy kitchen environment
