Overview
North Lanarkshire Council is recruiting a Housing Assistant (NLC6) to support the Housing Co ordinator and Senior Retirement Housing Officer in managing retirement housing complexes. The role focuses on the safety, wellbeing and community participation of older residents.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the management of retirement housing complexes.
- Maintain tenant safety and wellbeing by providing enhanced housing management and property maintenance services.
- Support residents in maintaining their tenancies and the wider environment.
- Promote and facilitate the use of communal and recreational facilities, coordinating social events.
- Liaise and communicate with other agencies and services.
Qualifications and Experience
- NVQ Level 2 joint Chartered Institute of Housing Award / Principles of Care Unit or equivalent.
- Extended experience in delivering housing services to the public or customers.
- Experience liaising with agencies and services.
- Proactive approach with an understanding of issues faced by older people.
- PVG Scheme membership required before commencing.
Working Pattern
16 hours per week – Saturdays & Sundays, 08:00 – 16:30.
