A fabulous opportunity has opened up to join our Practice Nursing Team here at Gullane Medical Practice. We are a small rural practice with a patient list size of just above 6,000. We provide GP consultations along with a range of other services to local residents. The Practice team currently consists of 3 GP Partners, 3 Salaried GPs, 1 Practice Nurse, 1 Health Care Assistant, 1 Phlebotomist, Business Manager, Office Manager and 12 administrative staff. Our Practice IT systems are Vision and Docman.
What We’re Looking For
We are seeking an additional practice nurse to join our busy, innovative, friendly practice in Gullane. We would be looking for the successful candidate to work 20 – 25 hrs per week, over 3 or 4 days with holiday cover available.
Key Responsibilities
You will be required to undertake all chronic disease management reviews: Diabetes, Asthma, COPD, CKD, CHD etc. Support and deliver Health Promotions, Cervical Smears, and Venepuncture.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
- Applicants should be RGN qualified
- NMC registered
- Competent in all aspects of practice nursing
Preferred Skills
- General practice experience is preferred but not essential
